Re-Illustrating the Harry Potter Series Covers
I was assigned Book Two-The Chamber of Secrets
I decided on the climactic scene in the chamber. Harry shown as a silhouette as, by now, all the world knows what Harry looks like. Lighting by Harry’s wand and column snake lanterns. Tom Riddle shown shadowy in the background and the diary barely visible on the floor. I decided not to show Ginny on the floor beneath the statue.
Great fun to work with a dramatic perspective.

I’m thinking of the climax scene in the Slytherin Chamber with Fawkes the Phoenix and the basilisk, Dobby getting his freedom, or Aragog in the Forbidden Forest where Harry, Fang and Ron are rescued by the Car.
